Must Watch Anime on Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime is a hidden treasure. Even though most of us have it we don’t take advantage of all the anime it has to offer. Mostly because amazon’s layout is trash. some of the anime isn’t listed correctly and a pain to find. It doesn’t help that most of the blogs listing the best anime on prime are outdated. That’s where I come in.

Welcome to Demo Entertainment, this is our second amazon prime list. In case your not interested in any of the anime we listed check out my other blog. This list is also not made in any particular order.

Great Teacher Onizuka

This is a priceless comedy. It’s a classic that proves from time to time to make you laugh your ass off. This anime does look really old but I personally think that it makes the anime funnier. It is a bit cliche with the whole delinquent comedy thing going on. If you like Gin tama you might want to give this show a try.

Vinland Saga

This is my favorite anime on the list and definitely one of my favorite anime that aired this year. it’s action-packed and has great animation and story to go with it. I’m a big fan of protagonists that are ruthless and go through the hardships of life and this one is no stranger to that. The character development is great as we see the protagonist start as an innocent young child and slowly become an adult learning the harsh realities of life.

Ghost in the shell

This is probably one of the most well-known anime film in the west. It’s a classic that most people already know about. If you’re looking to re-watch or watch for the first look no farther. I’m not too big of a fan when it comes to ghost in the shell but I still think its probably one of the most successful anime adaptions. I love the way director Mamoru Oshii took this film. I’m currently reading the manga and I’m shocked how different manga is.

Redline

Redline is one of the best-animated films ever made by madhouse. It’s hard not to watch this anime without admiring its great animation. It took 7 years to make this anime and it was well worth it… Well, not commercially. Car anime is pretty rare so its refreshing to watch this anime. If your looking for a movie that has a deep story this is probably not the anime for you

Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple

This is actually one of the first few anime I have watched. It’s a classic shounen where the main character works hard to improve himself and get stronger. It’s pretty unique in a way where the characters in this anime don’t need special powers to make the fight scenes interesting. Don’t get me wrong this anime is definitely over the top but in a good way.

Cromartie High School

This is anime that I actually didn’t know was on amazon prime until I made the funniest anime you haven’t seen yet blog. It has a dry sense of humor that reminds me of Gin Tama. It’s also probably the most random anime you’ll ever watch. Don’t worry I mean that as a good thing.

Rage of Bahamut: Genesis

Rage of Bahamut is actually based off an app card game. You might not have heard of it because it was pulled it off-market in February 2016, shutting down the English version. The anime doesn’t feel as solid as a story that gets adapted from a manga. It feels cheap however if you looking for a fun show this is a great anime. It had Yoshihiro Ike working on the music which paired with the great art style it makes for an epic ride.

Lupin III

Lupin the 3rd is one of the most well known and iconic anime in japan. It’s not as popular here in the united states, if you enjoy classics you will like this. It actually surprised me that it’s for the seinen audience which is adults. However, once you watch the first episode you’ll probably learn why.

Banana Fish

Banana Fish is the most recent anime on this list. Don’t let the ridiculous name fool you its actually a well-made anime. This anime is pretty disturbing so make sure you look a bit into before you decide to watch it. As far as unique goes I think this hits the mark. Cliche is probably the opposite of what I would use when I describe this anime. It’s for the shoujo audience so if you’re a young female this is you might want to check this out.
